These brushes are the bomb. They make a mediocre painter look like a pro. If you haven’t used a food brush before, you will be surprised what a difference they can make.
Keep them clean. They will last a very, very long time. Worth the price.

1. Clean repair area with acetone or warm, soapy water to remove all dirt, grease, oil and contaminates. Let dry completely.
2. Sand the surface with 3M™ Sandpaper 80 grit to remove all primer, paint, rust or gel-coat. Remove all dust created from sanding. Re-clean the surface following Step #1.
3. Pre-cut several pieces of fiberglass cloth or mat to extend 2-3 inches beyond repair area. Wearing gloves is recommended for the next steps.
4. Mix the Bondo® All Purpose Fiberglass Resin in a paper cup with the Bondo® Fiberglass Resin Hardener. For small applications use 10 drops of hardener per ounce of resin. Working time will be 10 to 12 minutes. For larger applications, use half of the fiberglass resin hardener supplied, to half of the resin container. Using large amounts at one time will cut the working time in half of the mixed resin. Do not mix the entire container with liquid hardener. Mix thoroughly.
5. Brush a coat of the mixed resin on the damaged area extending 2-3 inches beyond repair. Place the first layer of fiberglass cloth or mat onto the resin application and immediately apply another coat of resin over the fiberglass cloth or mat. Continue applying additional layers of fiberglass and resin as needed while the first coat is still sticky or wet. If the surface has dried hard and is no longer sticky, sand with 80 grit sandpaper prior to applying additional layers of resin and fiberglass cloth or mat.
6. Allow two hours to fully cure. Once cured, sand the surface with 3M™ Sandpaper 80 grit. Feather the edge of the repaired area with 3M™ Sandpaper 180 grit to blend the edges.
7. The surface is now ready for paint, primer or gel coat per the manufacturers’ recommendation.
8. Clean up using acetone or lacquer thinner. Store any unused hardener securely under the dome. KEEP OUT OF REACH OF CHILDREN.
