Wire brushes can be used on a variety of surfaces. Each bristle type has a preferred surface use that yields better results.

Steel Wire Bristles - these bristles are very strong and durable making them the perfect choice for removing paint and dirt from metal surfaces. They are also a great brush for cleaning grills.

Stainless Steel Wire Brushes - these brushes work best on non-ferrous metals as they are resistant to rust and corrosion.

Brass Wire Brushes - works best on more delicate surfaces and softer metals. Their softer bristles and non-spark feature make them a preferred choice when working with electrical parts.

Using light pressure at a slight angle is the preferred method for removing paint and debris. Too much of a straight angle can cause the brush to damage the surface. Test the brush on a small surface before proceeding with your project.
