Frequently Asked Questions
What are the different type of jointers?
The three most common types of jointers are:
Grapevine - provides an indented line in the center of the joint for a rough & wavy appearance.
Convex - creates a concave shape in the mortar that helps shed water and preserve the integrity of the joint.
Flat Jointer - just as the name says, it creates a flat joint in the mortar.
Some of the less common types of jointers are concave, S-Shaped, Z-Shaped, and ball jointers.
What are slickers used for?
Slickers are used to smooth and shape mortar joints and to remove excess mortar.
