Cabot® Australian Timber Oil® is a unique blend of oils, originally formulated to protect dense Australian tallowwood, cambara and merbau from extreme exposures. It is a proven translucent-oil treatment that is specially formulated for decks, siding, railings and outdoor furniture.
Now available in Aerosols, offering the same color, premium beauty and protection in a convenient and quick spray. Containing a precise blend of superb-grade linseed oil for maximum penetration, long-oil alkyds for durability and pure tung oil for color depth and water repellency, it delivers three-way oil protection. In addition, complex translucent iron-oxide pigments are added to ensure a lasting UV-absorbing surface rich with color and dimension.
NOTE: Made from Pure linseed oil. This is not a water base product. Offers superior penetration into wood surfaces. Long oil alkyds impart lasting durability to heavy traffic surfaces and assist in dry time. Great UV protection.

Read the Lead Warning paragraph. Be sure surface is free of all dirt, mildew stains, loose wood fibers and other foreign matter. Surfaces must be sound and absolutely dry. Avoid spraying in windy conditions. (Moisture content must be below 15% or wood must be exposed to dry weather a minimum of 3 to 5 days.) Prepare previously stained or weathered surfaces with Cabot® Problem-Solver® Wood Cleaner, Wood Brightener or Wood Strippers. On untreated weathered surfaces, scrubbing with a stiff bristle brush or sanding may be required to completely remove all loose wood fibers.
For new and weathered wood surfaces, a light sanding with 80¬–10 grit sandpaper is recommended to open the pores for maximum penetration. Use Cabot® Problem-Solver® Wood Stripper #8004 to help remove oil-based finishes from wood surfaces.
Shake well for at least 1 minute, listening for rattle of mixing ball. Shake frequently during application. Hold can 8–10 inches from surface. Move can back and forth, releasing button after each stroke. Overlap each stroke. Apply 1 coat only. Do not over-apply. Brush in excess stain as needed. Overspray: Cover nearby area to protect from spray mist.
Danger: Rags, steel wool or waste soaked with this product may
spontaneously catch fire if improperly discarded. Immediately after
use, place rags, steel wool or waste in a sealed, water-filled metal
container. Dispose in accordance with local, state and federal regulations.
Dry Time
Approximately 24–48 hours. To prevent can clogging after use, turn
can upside down and press spray head for 3 seconds.
