and dusty conditions. Cover surrounding area to protect
from spray mist.
Wash the surface with a commercial detergent, or other
suitable cleaning method to remove dirt. Rinse with fresh
water and dry with a clean cloth. Remove loose paint and
rust with a wire brush or sandpaper. Lightly sand glossy
surfaces.
WARNING:
If you scrape, sand, or remove old
paint, you may release lead dust. LEAD IS TOXIC.
EXPOSURE TO LEAD DUST CAN CAUSE SERIOUS
ILLNESS, SUCH AS BRAIN DAMAGE, ESPECIALLY IN
CHILDREN. PREGNANT WOMEN SHOULD ALSO
AVOID EXPOSURE. Wear a NIOSH-approved respirator
to control lead exposure. Clean up carefully with a HEPA

PRIMING
Use of a Rust-Oleum White primer provides added
corrosion protection, enhances adhesion and hiding, and
is especially recommended for metal and wood surfaces.

APPLICATION
Shake can vigorously for one minute after the mixing ball
begins to rattle. If mixing ball fails to rattle DO NOT
STRIKE CAN. Contact Rust-Oleum.
Make sure to apply paint to the reverse side of glass that will be
displayed. Hold can upright 10-16” from surface and spray in a
steady back-and-forth motion, slightly overlapping each
stroke. Keep the can the same distance from the surface.
Keep the can in motion while spraying. Apply 2 or more
coats a few minutes apart.
Do not use near open flame.
DRY & RECOAT
Dry and recoat times are based on 70ºF and 50% relative
humidity.
Dries to the touch in 15 minutes, to handle in 1-2
hours and is fully dry in 24 hours. Apply a second coat or
a clear coat (267028) within 1 hour or after 24 hours.
CLEAN-UP
When finished spraying, clear spray valve by turning can
upside down and pushing spray button for 5 seconds.
Clean-up wet paint with xylene or mineral spirits. Properly
discard empty container. Do not burn or place in home
trash compactor.
CLOGGING
If the valve clogs, twist and pull off spray tip and rinse in a
solvent such as mineral spirits. Do not insert any object
into can valve opening.
