ZINSSER's new DIF GEL Wallpaper Stripper is great for removing dried, heavy-duty clay-based adhesives commonly found beneath commercial wallcoverings. It even removes adhesive applied to unprimed drywall. DIF GEL liquefies the old clay-based adhesive without over-soaking the facing paper of the drywall, so it can be easily removed with a scraping tool like ZINSSER's Paper Scraper, with little damage to the facing paper.
FOR BEST RESULTS
Use the Zinsser® PaperTiger® Scoring Tool to perforate the wallcovering and allow DIF to penetrate. Use the Zinsser® Paper Scraper™ to remove loosened wallpaper. Protect adjacent areas from overspray, especially where the ceiling and wallpaper edges meet. Apply more product as needed to keep the wallpaper saturated.
SURFACE PREPARATION
Spread a solvent resistant drop cloth covered with
newspapers around the work area in case of drips and
spills. Protect carpeting, furniture and porous ceilings
before application. Protect eyes and skin. Wear safety
goggles and chemical resistant gloves.
APPLICATION
KEEP OUT OF REACH OF CHILDREN.
CLEAN-UP
Note: Ensure good cross ventilation during application.
Wear a NIOSH approved respirator when spraying.
APPLICATION
Spray on or sponge apply DIF Gel Ready-To-Use on the
wallpaper surface. Do not use a fine mist sprayer. Protect
adjacent areas from overspray. Wait 15-20 minutes and
scrape off with the Paper Scraper. If the top layer does
not peel off easily, score (10 holes per square inch) with
Paper Tiger and apply more DIF Gel Ready-To-Use
Wallpaper Stripper. Allow DIF to penetrate for
10-15 additional minutes. Repeat the application if necessary.

SPILLAGE
If spilled, contain spilled material and remove with an inert
absorbent. Dispose of contaminated absorbent, container
and unused contents in accordance with local, state and
federal regulations. Clean up rags, papers and waste
promptly.
